I hear what you're saying about diesels. I have always wanted a diesel (but a pickup won't work for me). Now that they're putting one in the Jeep Grand Cherokee, I figured now was the time. But the more I've looked at it, the more reasons I've found to stick with a gasser instead.
The auto companies are now on a push to increase fleet fuel economy, and diesels are on the way into North America bigtime IMO. But with more diesels going onto the road in coming years, I expect that price gap between gas & diesel fuel to widen even more.
