You won't get an argument from me ib516. I've had my '11 F250 6.2 gas for 38 months with no regrets. And my previous truck was an 05 CTD 6 speed manual so I know what gobs of power they have!!!
But when I got rid of the big camper and the Jeep on a trailer I didn't need all that power. And my pockets are not deep enough to own a diesel out of warranty.
When I bought it there was it's twin sitting beside it with the diesel for $8000 more. 3 years later with 24K miles that 8 grand just paid for my gas!! OK, now I'm out of warranty and have to start buying my own gas. But I still feel better about the whole thing as if something happens to the gas it is much cheaper to repair and IMHO less chance of something happening.
OTOH I am not hauling much either. My pop up TC with an enclosed trailer of toys or even my TT with boat behind only total 8K.
Enjoy that new truck!!!!
