That's a beautiful truck IB! I've always liked white with dark interior. Just make sure you're good with the hot-rod sound. You'll be hearing a lot of it with the gas V8. I like the sound but if it makes you cringe, you'll be miserable. I've been seriously thinking about going back to gas after 21 years of diesels. Oh wait. Never mind. I haven't regretted it the first time. Unless you're going to be doing a lot of towing in the mountains including steep launches, I'd go for the 3.73. It's the ratio we practically begged for back in the '90's when the 3.55 and 4.10 was all that was available. But we didn't have the transmission ratios we have now either.
As far as hybrid trucks for towing, I've been using my new union made Prius for a month now on my work route. Already over 2k miles on it. I'm thoroughly impressed. If a 3/4 ton true hybrid pickup with the necessary tow rating shows up on the market, I'm 100% ready for it. Hopefully it will be one of the big three. I work on VF drives at work so the hybrid drive is intriguing to me.
