I think dual alternators is also an option. I would probably look hard at getting that if I was ordering a new truck.
Standard is a 180 amp alternator, I opted for the 220 amp, cost me an extra $95. I thought of the cold winter days when it will be running 4 seat heaters and rear defrost with the blower on high...
If you order the snowplow prep, you get a 160 and a 220 for 380 amp total, and a 6000# front GAWR vs the standard 5500#.
Mine has the snowplow prep, and there is only one alt. The 2nd alt should be low on the passenger side of the motor, but nothing. Im calling the dealer tomorrow to see whats up....
