I don't hold any illusions that the gas truck will pull at low RPM and loaf along like the diesel did - rarely downshifting. I expect it to run 2500 - 3000 RPM on the flats, and 4500 RPM + when climbing hills. I also expect single digit mpg when pulling, maybe 8? The 5.9L Cummins would do 10-11 mpg all day long with my 5er.
I also expect I will enjoy $100 less Biweekly on the payments, and having heat in the winter.
They both have their pros and cons.
In any case, I promise you this. I will test it out, take pictures and video and report back with no BS. I'm interested in how the rear coils do, and how the Hemi/6speed/4.10 combo does in performance and mpg.
It intrigues me that this gasser 3/4 ton has a 2500# higher tow rating and a 1500# higher GCWR than my 1 ton diesel...I can't wait to see how it works.
