Axle wrap comes from the pinion riding up on the crown gear inside the pumpkin
That then pushes or lifts the pumpkin pinion bearing up and uses the axle center
line as the axis of rotation. The tire to pavement provides the spot where the
forces exert
BUT...with the four links being apart about a foot...they will keep or should
keep the axle tube from rotating. That is how it works on all of the live axle
with 5 point links I've ever worked on.
I really want to learn 'their why' of it. Generally am okay with OEM engineering
but every once in a while they end up with a Rube Goldberg whizzy bang...
My top link goes to where the OE leaf spring mounted and the bottom one goes all they way to the rear cab mount. I don't get a harsh ride Persia you just know it's solid. LOL! Kind-of hard to explain. I can tell you it is much better than the factory leaf spring suspension.
