My 2004 could be a SRW 3500 by simply changing the rear spring pack. By ordering the trac-loc rear axel my truck came with the 11.5 axle. The only difference between the 04 2500 and SRW 3500 trucks. The cost difference was $250 between the two trucks at the time. The cost difference in plates is now $55 a year.
My point is , it is getting harder and harder to know what you are getting now a days.

Don I don't disagree with you. My point is the days of guys claiming their 2500 is just as good as a 3500 when it comes to payload are winding down.
There are now real distinct differences in the suspension designs of these trucks.
I think the coils are a novel idea I applaud Ram for being innovative and thinking outside of the box.
Now if we could only teach the end users to understand the parameters and use the truck within the parameters it was designed for.
