The OP's post is the exact reason why Grand Design came out with their new style of customer service. It's impossible to make any RV near perfect and they know it. So they came out with a new way of dealing with customer service issues. They promote the fact that they will be there for you knowing full well that every unit made will probably need some work done after sale. Making that experience easier tells the buying party that Grand Design cares about you after the sale. Genius.
This also gives the selling dealer the advantage in that they can upsell Grand Designs customer service.
OT a little but my point is that it's the nature of the business to have shoddy workmanship. It's how it's dealt with after the sale that's important to some.
