Unfortunately, too many folks attempt to compare the RV industry to the auto industry, and frankly, the two industries (really) don't have a whole lot in common, other than both end products travel on public roads.
Take a tour, listen to what the guild says, watch the workers, and then ask the guide about the lack of quality. You'll see things in a different way. (there again, I'm not saying it's right ... they do miss some of the most obvious stuff, but if you saw it in action, you'd understand why).
