I am not suggesting that I want a Rolls for the price of a Chevy. I understand profit as well. My contention is that it really doesn't take take much, if any, more effort to do things right as opposed to slapping everything together. I don't want higher end appliances, I want what I paid for installed correctly. I don't want Teak cabinets, I want the ones I paid for to work as designed. As said earlier, we as a group make too many excuses for the manufacturers and dealers. Why do they have enough time, and money, to do it twice but never enough to do it right the first time? As long as our expectations are low they will always be met.
