It does cost to stop and do it right. The worker gets an incentive based on their number of units built.
If you miss a few screws or mis-align a part are you going to stop and correct it?
Not unless you are told to do it.
You certainly are not going to clean up the sawdust, chips and other debris that fall into the various nooks and crannies.
If you want to see quality, step into a half million dollar motor coach. Those folks expect and usually get top quality. But even they get error occasionally.
