The issue, to me, is not whether it could've/would've/should've been discovered at PDI (which, as I mentioned in an earlier post, would have in any event would have cost me time if found at that late stage in the purchase process), but rather, how on earth did it make it out of the assembly plant with these defects? lantley's 'you should have checked everything before delivery' comments kinda miss the point...the manufacturer should have done these checks and corrected these (admittedly minor) issues before sending the unit out for delivery to the dealer
And, re. the 'could've fixed it yourself' comments .. the drawer pulled all the way out...for all I knew, the thing was actually broken rather than just misaligned...that would have required parts, not just a shim...I don't really see it as my job to go buying drawer rails and stapling a wall back together (to get the television mounting panel properly secured)...not on a brand-new unit
