My family has purchased four travel trailers we started out with a Shasta and then purchased a Keystone and then a Coachmen and we currently own a Jayco. Not one of them were free of issues however every thing that was found was taken care of by the dealer. I have worked in the RV industry for over fifteen years and my job requires me to inspect our products in the units while they are online in the plant and then we send a report back stating any issues with the installation of our products. The vendor audit program has been in place for about a year now and I do think that this is a good idea to have another set of eyes checking the units. My experience has been that the plant managers and production workers have been very accommodating and do generally care about quality. Are certain plants more cautious than others yes but from what I see overall I would purchase my next travel trailer from any one of them without hesitation.( yes we are in the market again ) We have learned to take our time with the PDI inspection and on our Jayco we took two hours and my husband even got up and checked the roof. If you are in the market for a new RV and take your time, check out several manufacture's and options. They all produce quality units however sometimes things get missed, could happen with any of them. And that is why everything should be gone over thoroughly in your PDI. Just my two cents..
