I have the 4.10's in my dually. I get about 7-8 MPG towing at 63-65 but with a 13,500 GVW 5er. I do not use the tow/haul, shift points seem to high. I'm always backing off the gas for a shift that the electronics won't let happen (big block hangover).
I do use cruise as often as possible, it will lower the RPM better than my foot. It's the first vehicle that I couldn't beat the mileage with my foot. I turn it off for inclines and feather it until it downshifts then on longer hills go to manual until I top out. If I'm careful I can get 14 mpg when not towing. I also use a ScanGauge monitor MPG. Like having a vacuum gauge in the old days but my mind converts the MPG info to $ signs better than inches of vacuum.
