I'm like Lantley on this one. This is by no means a bash. IMO when you buy a HD truck and get it with a gas motor (especially a small block) ,you are really doing no different than the guy buying a 150/1500 with the economy V6 in it. If you are going to use it to just haul stuff in the bed and occasionally tow a light trailer then they are fine but when you are going to hook to a rolling wind sail then they work their butts off. Will it do it? Yes, but you see what you get. Some people don't mine it. Most of them just tolerate it because they would ratter have the cheap motor and get there leather seats and touch screen displays. Every time I drive one of our gas trucks I want to put on a racing suit and helmet because that's what it feels like when you are driving one anymore. It feels like you are trying to race a hill or the little inclines that you encounter.
If you are going to tow much then you might want to rethink your purchase or pull it down yet another gear and slow down more but please for the sake of us that like to get to the campgrounds in a timely manner, stay in the right lane.
