I could not force myself to real thru all the wisdom on this post.
What is all the talk about small blocks. You don't have a choice on a larger engine so why use the condescending term of small block.
I just switched from diesel to gas in 2012. Got a Ford with 4.30 diffy and tow an 11.5K fifth wheel. Am perfectly happy with it and will never look back.
I run thru the smokies at least twice each winter. If I do a little shifting, that is exactly what the trans is for.
I always run in 6th with the cruise on in flat land.
