Many folks have big blocks, or am I missing something?
I have a big block and won't ever sell my Sub till either I die or the wheels
fall off...and...if another TV desired...it will be an older one
with a 'big block'
Just stating the differences pro/con between a small block and big block is
condescending ?!? Look up the definition of what a 'small block' is and what
a 'big block' is. There is a difference and those are accepted terms. Like
there is a definition and acceptance between 'manual transmission' and
'automatic transmission'...would that be condescending to use
'manual' vs 'automatic' ?
Bottom line is that the OP has an automatic mated with a small
block and wondering why it is shifting. Some who have either diesel
or big block have ICE's with different characteristics vs a small
block. How's about some with a manual?
It's an automatic and the definition of 'automatic' is that 'it' will decide
the gearing for whatever situation it 'thinks' it is in and will go to it's
look up tables (algorithms) to see which gear it should be in for those conditions
Before automatics were the norm or the only tranny available...some folks ordered
manuals and did this kind of gear selection themselves and knew what the heck
was going on
