I pry the screen out and insert a small wire tie into the valve to hold it open, then run the pump a second and pull the wire tie out. Presto! You have now purged all air and water from the city water inlet. I do it last after every other line under pressure is full. I also collect all my antifreeze in a bucket at the farthest point (outside shower) and use all that's left over to pour down the black and gray tanks to make sure the outside portion of the drain piping is filled with antifreeze.
