Just for you Gritdog 30 mph backwards

I just taped my phone to the head rest in the back seat and took my truck and trailer out on the road to make a video for you Gritdog. But, when I played it back I realized I should have taped the phone to my side mirror or something cuz it really isn't much of a video. Anyway, I backed up just under one half mile and ended with a blind side 90 degree turn parked lined up on the right hand side of a narrow side road. I would have gone out and made a redo but I don't really like screwing around like this on the highway and the side roads are too icy to play on.

  • That is showing some good skill there. Personally I try to stay in the lane going the direction that I am actually moving just in case someone comes from behind but not much else to say other than good job.
  • Great job! A better camera angle would have been more entertaining when I made my wife sit on the couch and watch you. She asked “what am I watching here”?
  • Don’t you just hate when someone misses their turn and instead of finding a place to turn around they just put their flashers on and proceeds to back up.:S Nice job 4x4ord.:B
  • Well...he said he would post a video. He did it, with trailer of his choice. Without question, a better than average backer! Great job, and video is good enough to show your skill.

For me, granny reverse still best choice for my use.

  • The area looks very much like same area Tom Hanks was in in Cast Away when he delivered the 1 package from Fed Ex.

Your up GD... Hope your transmission is up to the task!

Haha, I never said I could do it. I wanted to see him do it! I don't think my Dodge can even go that fast in reverse, but I'll give it a shot.
4x4ord, that's some backing skillz man. Hats off to you!
I can see why you need to do 30 in reverse...I think I can see all the way to BC from your phone!
(You did cheat and use a GN though....my little sister even backs those up at 25mph, lol)
Just kidding, nice work! Happy New Years!
  • Don't look like to much traffic. Nice job. Now could you try it with a 30' TT? :)
