So many things to look at before throwing in the towel with the vehicle you have. You said you have a weight distributing hitch. Is it set up correctly? Are the tires on both the truck and trailer aired up to max? Ultimately it might be wise to move up to a more capable vehicle, but I think your current truck likely has lots of untapped potential and should easily shoulder that trailer.
