I guess it depends on whether you have roadside assistance. If you do, someone else will fix the flat, so no worries. ;)
Actually, I'd hesitate to replace new tires just because some folks have had back luck with the brand. For every one that went bad, there are probably hundreds more out there quietly doing their job.
