- seaeagle2ExplorerAren't ALL trailer tires made in China now ?
- phillygExplorer IIDon't know anything about those tires but prob doesn't make any difference. Start out with 65psi every morning and run them till you have a blowout or three years, whichever comes first.
- skipncharExplorerMost Chinese tires are capable of causing you a problem but if you follow the guidelines (stay under 65 MPH, don't over load and keep air pressure (cold) where it belongs there's no reason you can't get a few trips out of them. If they blow don't replace them with anything but Maxis. You can replace them all at once or as your current tires blow. I have my towing mirrors set so I can actually see my tires while towing so if I ever DO have a blow out I'll know it pretty quick. My LAST blow out was back in the 90s with a single axle trailer.
- colliehaulerExplorer IIICheck out the thread (Tire blow out trailer). The Wildwood I bought had a similar hole in the floor from a blow out (previous owner). I don't want to deal with problems and cheep tires are problems.
The MFG uses the cheapest tires they can get. Everyone has there level of comfort. I have had no problems with GY marathons some like Maxxis others like LT tires.
To me it would be worth the $500 for a new set of tires for my comfort level. - rexlionExplorerI guess it depends on whether you have roadside assistance. If you do, someone else will fix the flat, so no worries. ;)
Actually, I'd hesitate to replace new tires just because some folks have had back luck with the brand. For every one that went bad, there are probably hundreds more out there quietly doing their job. - Dakota98ExplorerNot good reports on those tires.
Look to, at the date code.
I would say those tires have a 50/50 warranty. 50 feet or 50 seconds, whichever come first. :R - midnightsadieExplorer IIgoogle the tire see what you get. carry TWO spares and the tools to change it. every stop inspect them. only takes two min to walk around and take a quick look. keep tire pressure set to what it says on the tire.they put those bolts on with a air gun, might take a breaker bar and a two ft piece of pipe.with you,
- coolbreeze01ExplorerI haven't heard of Trail Express. Even on a new trailer, I go at least one size taller and E rated.
Not an expert, but I don't have tire problems. Enjoy your new rig.
