If those old I6 gas engines had been treated to similar technology, they could have been power houses too. Now we have the Ford Ecoboost and GM Ecotech gas engines using that technology and producing lots of power in a small package.
Cummins has always been turbo charged, the earlier Cummins didn't have iner-coolers, but always turbos.
