My DH wants to know how you get in your vehicle if it is locked when the battery dies when you have no key to open the door??

It is a long story but once my fob battery went dead and the key was at home . An auto parts store right there , replaced battery and all was fine ,
The rest of the story , my wife had already taken off walking home and was not pleased that I was home when she got there !
