I had a single-axle 2010 Cherokee Wolf Pup which came from the factory with an axle rating BELOW the dry weight of the trailer and with 13" tires that had a load rating below the dry weight as well. It was my first trailer and I didn't know enough to check that.
The axle bent on the first outing and eventually we put 15" wheels on the trailer (on our dime) and went through TWO upgrade axles from Lippert. Forest River wouldn't do a thing, wouldn't even talk to us. Lippert sent us the axles for free, we had to put them in ourselves (by that time we weren't even bothering to go through our dealer).
