Not sure about the Heartland brand but we purchased a 2014 Cougar 28RLS in October of 2013.
Have camped a total of 51 days so far with 0 issues .
Tow it with a 2500 Ram 5.7 Hemi 4x4 with Equalizer 4 point 10.000 lb WD hitch with 0 sway issues & Hemi doesn't even strain to pull it .
Living in South Texas we purchased the 2nd ac & Glad we did .
100+F no issues sleeping during the day & fishing under the lights @ night,
We have camped In Temp extremes of 35F with 20 to 40mph winds to 100+F
WITH no issues of being to cold or to hot .
This is a well insulated Trailer .
Most of our camping is on the Texas coast chasing Trout, Redfish , & Flounder so not much shade where we camp .
We have camped with a total of 4 adults & never felt crowded with the 28 RLS floor Plan
Hope This helps
