Well, I tow a Cougar High Country 321 RES with my wimpy F150 4X4, Ecoboost, Max-tow, Max-payload. I've towed it just over 9K miles this past year. I've towed it through snow 10" deep, over the ice covered mountains of PA, through a tornado in GA and 30 MPH cross winds in FL. I've towed it over Breadloaf Mt. in Vermont (class 2 road) with enough equipment and supplies to do a BBQ for fifty people (family reunion). Before this truck, I had another F150 5.4 that I towed the trailer over 20K with and never had any problems. In my opinion, will your truck be able to handle the 299 BH? Without a doubt! But you'll need to invest in a good hitch. The Reese duel cam w/12K bars works for me, but I would love to have a Hensley Arrow (love that technology).
