If you haven't purchased the truck yet why don't you check out the 3/4 ton ford gasser?
My 2012 2500 Ram 5.7 crew cab was actually lower in Price than the Ram 1500 5.7 Hemi .
As far as gas mileage not much difference than the 1500.
Better to have & not need than to Need & not have.
