Keystone Cougar X-lite 21RBS

Comments please. I am looking at a Cougar X-lite 21rbs, and would love to hear any comments, good or bad regarding this unit or the Keystone Company.
It seems to fit my needs and has plenty of counter space for this size of trailer.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Steve
  • We have the keystone passport 23RB and it has a similar layout. We like the Keystone as a manufacture. I like the cougars domed roof, fiberglass front and bath layout. We chose our because of the couch instead of the dinette. Lots of storage space and the 15" wheels are a plus. Tanks are a little on the small side but for us its only 2 people so it will work. Passport has 30-30-45. it has lots of the features of the Keystone Bullet Premier line. I also see t has a polar package so that helps to extend your camping experience.
  • Thanks for your comments. I'm in the process of locating a unit I can look at...
I haven't seen specs yet, but i am interested in the tank capacities......Steve
  • We like it, although I haven't been in one. As you noticed, the kitchen layout is great. And the vaulted ceiling. I think (?) it has a full (80") queen too. Do you know?

I especially like the 6" Paco I beam frame, dual 4400# axles and ST225/75R15-D tires. That's very strong running gear and frame for a trailer of this size.

What I would like to check is how well the under-belly is sealed, quality of the cabinetry, and whether the rear wall is laminated or "hung" (can tell by pushing on it).

What I don't like is the small (28gal) grey water tank. And if it's anything like the Laredo 240MK we saw, the dinette table is wobbly and the seats too low. And the bath appears a bit cramped.

You might also like its big sister, the Keystone Laredo 240MK. Same under-carriage, same sort of layout but bigger: 8cuft frig, bigger bath/shower. Didn't like its kitchen as much though (and no outside oven vent).
