Keystone Springdale v. Keystone Hideout series of TT's

What's the difference, if any, between the Keystone Springdale series and the Keystone Hideout series?...looking at two units, one from each series...they have virtually identical floor plans, but among other differences the list price on one is substantially higher than for the other...is one of these two series the 'luxury' line, as 'Lexus' is for Toyota? the features list appears substantively similar.

Thanks
  • Springdale owner here. A little over 2 years and no real issues so far. A couple of screws fell out that hold the flares over the wheel openings.

I read somewhere that even a new purchase should have the brakes adjusted. The repair shop said they were working perfectly.
  • TrailerNovice,
Call Keystone and ask them. Calling them will also be a test of their customer service.
  • A buddy of mine has a new Hideout 32ft 2 slide. He swears it only has brakes on one axle. I haven't seen it myself to confirm but the guy's not a dummy so I tend to believe him, he's gone as far a priced two new brake drum sets. If that's true then they've REALLY cut some corners on those models.
Again, only repeating what he told me, not 'bashing' the brand.

They compare the Hideout features to various other lines including the Springdale. Look about 3/4 way down the page. When you click on it a excel sheet will open.
For what its worth I have had a Springdale for 10 years. Relatively trouble free. No leaks, great tire wear/ life span.
  • They are both entry level trailers. If one is more expensive it probably has ungraded furniture, maybe better insulation, maybe better floor coverings, etc. Or the dealer is just charging more.
