Kia Sorento as tow vehicle

If you were going to tow "something" with a Kia Sorento, what would you choose? Would sure like a potty in the trailer. Other than that, not much other required. Looked at lots of pop ups and they mostly have "cassette pots". Not sure that is acceptable. I think we want to be able to pull up to the dump station and dump, and a door to close while you are doing your business? Some of the pop ups have the shower and potty in a cubbyhole with a vinyl curtain that attaches for privacy. Ugh!!!
  • You would need to verify the numbers, but the R-Pod made by Forest River is pretty nifty. There is also a KZ Sportsmen Classic - 13', single axel, kitchen across the entire front wall, so nice work area. It is available with a hybrid-type rear bunkend. Has a nice u-shaped dinette which can be made into a bed. Bathroom is one of the one-piece units, but is functional and has a door. It's what we had in our boat and it served it's purpose nicely. Also a surprising amount of floorspace. The downside is that you'd still be towing a barndoor. Check it online and triple check your towing numbers for your Kia, then allow ourself some wiggle room.
  • I've got a 2013 Kia Sorento 4 banger.

I would not hesitate to pull a scamp or a casita behind it with the right equipment. Lots of power for such a small displacement motor... And man does it like to Rev!! 1400 lb tow rating. Blah.

    Thanks!

    I own a 2011 Sorento...
you sure it can even tow anything?

Kia Sorento....awarded "tow vehicle of the year".

  • Looked this up briefly..
    For 2011

    Towing Capacity:

    350 Pound Tongue Weight
    3500 Pound Towing
  • Suggest you first check and verify what your payload and tow capacity are for the vehicle. Be sure to include those things you plan to carry in the vehicle as well as the passengers. Then you can narrow your search to units that fit your criteria. Good luck
