I'd recommend a Delta or American Standard as a replacement. They usually have a lifetime warranty and will withstand a lot of bad water flowing through. Their connectors seem to be a cut above other brands as well.
Depending on construction, some faucets can be repaired with a washer or cartridge replacement. You would need to know which brand you have and if the Mfg. offers replacement parts or if generic parts will fit.
FWIW, my old Starcraft has the brass stem valves with rubber sealing washers and I chose to clean and rebuild them. The faucets get such little use that the sealing seats should never wear out and replacing the washers is an easy task. Some things should never been improved upon.
