Kitchen idea

Ive been playing around with a new photo program and put this collage together of what I am going to do to the kichen area and the table in our TC. The backsplash on the wall, the black paint is to paint the old worn out stove and oven a new face lift, and the counter and table a new face lift. any ideas or opinions are welcome :)

  • The photo program may be fun to use but it really doesn't show the detail for better suggestions, JMHO!!!
  • Get a tin bender at your local heating contractor to bend some SS sheet to fit the walls for a very durable backsplash, easy clean and not that heavt like tiles, plus tiles will flex breaking the joints. Can even do the counter in SS with an overlay...thise guys can do wonders with sheet Stainless Steal.
  • well the tiles aren't ceramic there call Smart Tiles and there made in Canada but sold her I don't have them yet but the reviews are fantastic. There light and gell like and you use a pair of sharp scissors to cut them or a tiny exacto knife if the tile need to fit at a weird spot angled windows like my kitchen one there lite and thin a little spendy but no grout and stuff to mess with and I guess clean up is a breeze. You clean and dry your wall and peel the baking off he tile and stick it to the wall that's it. :)check them out and read reviews I don't buy anything pretty much unless I read reviews from different web sites.
  • Ceramic tile backsplashes seem to be the new rage but I'm so tired of cleaning nasty grout on the house counters that you couldn't give me tile anything in the kitchen at this point. Smooth surface would be my choice.
  • I have seen the stick on tiles at The Home Depot and wanted to do something for a backsplash or bathroom area.
My opinion is the richer looking the better.
(apply a good primer for the paint)
