K&N
Who has replaced their stock air filter with a K&N? Are they really better? Improve performance, gas mileage, etc.

I`ve had one on my cars for the last 20 years! never had an issue, never found dirt in the intake. I currently have one in the X. put it in at 20k miles and now have 85k. Only cleaned the MAF once (routine maint.) I clean the filter about every 2 years. Not sure how or why so many have problems with them? I think the ones that do are internet complainers, meaning the complaints they say they have, they read on the internet without actually having used the product!
