K&N
Who has replaced their stock air filter with a K&N? Are they really better? Improve performance, gas mileage, etc.

Part of that internet info was on K&N's own website touting their fine dust filtration abilities. Unfortunately it clearly showed K&N filters do not do well with fine dust. The discussions on the matter were all over the internet and K&N pulled those figures from their website.
My own actual experiences confirmed the claims. I live in AZ where fine dust is a major issue. I used to be a big K&N fan in the 70's and 80's as did many friends and family. We believed in all the hype. Then reality set in from our own findings long before the internet was a factor.
