The one factor that adds a slight complication to the getting in and out of the cabover is the sleeping spouse when said getting in and out occurs during the middle of the night for a pee break. I've had to make some gymnastic moves in the middle of a deep sleep to avoid my wife's legs. This can become a challenge for those in the best of shape.
