Kodiak Ultimate vs Aerolite Luxury class

I've had a 50 amp RV but I thought 50 was only needed if you had 2 AC's (which I have never had). That being said I have never blown the 30 amp breaker in my RV.

If you are going to dry/boondock camp, the Aerolite has a few more gallons of fresh water capacity but it's still skimpy.

Right. With the option for a second AC I thought it would be/have to be 50a.

That is good to know! I have read where people say they have to turn things off / keep track of what they are using.

I have had problems with the 15/20 amp circuit breakers popping, put that was from using too many electric frying pans, griddles, toasters, etc. (apparently the code that requires at least two circuits in the kitchen doesn't apply to RV's). I have never had the 30 amp breaker pop.

If you ever have problems with a CG breaker popping it might be the CG pedestal. Whenever a 50 amp is avl., I plug my 30 amp cord into it using an adapter, the 50's get less use and are usually the cleaner option.

Breakers inside the rv can trip. When i run my A/C, I run the WH on gas and the fridge on gas.
30 amps is 3600 watts. The WH element on elec is about 1400 watts. Add the fridge, the converter etc it adds up fast.

Protect your RV's digital electronics by keeping the incoming voltage more level.
On a crowded day at a CG the overall voltage may drop, i will monitor the amp flow coming into the TT, if its too low, i plug in my Hughes Autoformer .

You should surge protect the Autoformer then protect the RV.
I use the simple in-line surge unit to the pedestal "to protect the Hughes", then i add the 34830 in-line unit "to protect the RV".
I use the 34830 Surge Guard between the Hughes and the RV (i know it may not be the best unit, but its what I have for now) .
I use padlocks and the heavy plastic lockable cover for the 34830. Its a theft deterrent and I have never had a problem with some other camper trying to steal it.
