Kudos to Sheehy ford in Ashland VA

Was pulling my camper down to Richmond yesterday , got off the exit for the campground and office when I felt the steering going south in a big way..... made it to the campground , dropped the trailer and asked the office where the closest dealer was..

Got the truck to Sheehy Ford , spoke to the Service manager... He had the truck on the lift within 20 minutes and told me my steering box took a crap.... Found one in the mid west , had it shipped yesterday with a delivery of today or tomorrow...
big shout out to Frank Tinney , the service manager!!!!

Due to race weekend , I have to be off my spot by 11:00 Thursday...the service manager assured me I would be ok... They dropped what they were doing to get me looked at..

ON EDIT----- PLEASE DONT TURN THIS INTO A DOWN HILL THREAD ABOUT TRUCK WARS.......

  • Glad you got such good service. The Sheehy Ford in Warrenton (VA) has done work on our Exploder and we were pretty happy with them.

Maybe you should post it on RV Service Reviews?

Thought about it.. But since it was my tow vehicle and not my rv I figured this would be the spot... But the mod can fell free to move it to where ever it belongs.. :@

Believe gbopp is referring to a different site outside of this forum. Since you were in the process of "RVing" and got good service there, it would be a great way to let others not on this forum know as well.

They have a drop down box with all types of vehicles from RV, MD trucks, Tow Vehicles.

  • That is great, we always hear about the slob dealers so it is really nice to hear about the great ones!!!

If anyone gets stuck in NW Ohio Al Smith in Bowling Green Ohio is the best dealer here bar none. John is the service manager and if your stranded he will drop everything to get you back on the road, even if it's not a Chrysler product.

  • Good service is always good to brag about! On the truck wars, I agree, they all break at some point. I had to replace the steering box (and other front end components) in my last Ram 3500.
