The bottom line is :
In a 14 inch wheel size for RV use there is no better than the 205R14 LT tire load range D that gmwphotos advocates .
It is not brand specific but rather it is specification specific .
Kumho 857 is the volume and availability leader in the USA for this specification of tire .
I have done 100's of hours researching tire specs .
I am convinced that the 2271 pound rated LT scale Kumho 857 in a 205R14 is by far better than any ST tire available .
The next closest I can find is an ST215/75R14C which is made by many manufacturers .
As I recall they are rated about 1820 pounds on a (less demanding ) ST grade scale .
I put the Kumho 857 on my boat trailer .
I tow long distances to the Tower Park Marina near Rio Vista CA from Bend with my boat .
A 2271 pound rated Kumho 857 gives me ultimate confidence over the 1820 # rated ST tires .
