What size ST tire did you replace?
Are you now using the 185 size tire?
Where are the tires made?
Thanks.
Yes, I went to the 185 size, because I needed to keep the overall diameter to nearly the same size as what I had from the factory ( 205/75-14 Freestar ST ), due to under trailer clearance. Since these Kumho tires are a taller profile ( 82 series vs the OE tires being 75 series )the narrower 185 comes out to within 2/10 inch of the diameter of the 205/75.
The 185 is just under 1/2" narrower at the tread ( as I measured, compared to the OE tires )
This size was made in Korea. I believe the other sizes are made in either china or vietnam.
They have the sizes and country of origin listed in the specs on TireRack.com
When I was replacing tires a few months ago, tire rack listed the 857 as from China, so I did not look further. I should have gone to my tire guy and asked him. Oh, well, I'll revisit this when it's time in, hopefully, a few years.
Thanks for the info.
