Get the adapter and keep it plugged in at home. With a full charge you will easily be able to go a weekend without charging unless you run the heater. Keep the fridge on gas when not plugged in. I have the same trailer but year 2008. Also all systems in these rv's are similar so you can ask anyone for help, not just KZ owners
