My wife and I will be camping in the Cherokee National Forest along the Telico River. We will be taking our scooter and riding the Cherohala Skyway, one of our favorite rides, and perhaps swimming in the river.What has everyone else got planned?

I'm not a holiday weekend camper. I'll be getting ready to go the next weekend. I have some minor maintenance/mods to do on the camper. I'll also enjoy having everyone being out of town by going for a few motorcycle rides if the weather holds. ;)

Nowhere since the rv is in the shop! Anyways try to avoid holidays.

Nowhere!!! Our staying home will leave more room for the still working folks! We will be home enjoying the pool while it is still warm! Much prefer camping later in September and October when the temps are more pleasant.Hope all of you who are heading out have a great trip!!

We call all of the three day weekends "Amateur" weekends and stay away. Drunk drivers, inexperienced campers and boaters, and obnoxious people make these weekends challenging and potentially dangerous so we wimp-out. I understand why many go because it is one of the few three day weekends you get off from work, just be careful !!!

I understand the disdain for traveling during a major holiday. But heres my backyard now through labor day. It was worth it. Bike rides the next 2 days and maybe some hiking and ziplining in damasus, va

I'm staying home this weekend and doing yard work. Like was posted earlier, my yard looks like ^&%!@# too.

And, I've had enough RV adventures this week..... I'm whooped tonight after driving 220 miles to get a 30' toy hauler then tow it 240 miles from the factory to a dealer.
And it was identical to the one I did the same trip with on Monday!!

Well here in the Phoenix area the flooding has stopped and the heat is back on, 107 tomorrow. So riding the Harley is out, and I refuse to camp with the crowds. So we will enjoy music and adult beverages out by the pool all weekend long!

We were going to head to the Keys with everyone in Florida but canceled. Going to stay home and fish.

We usually stay home and get the last out of our pool. BUT, this year we are going 4 wheel riding. And yes the park will be packed and hot! LOL

I don't camp on holidays! . . . The campgrounds around here are full on holidays and you can't get a site.

I usually don't camp on holidays, either, but this first year of TC ownership has me itching to go every chance I get. We will be camping and fishing at a lake that is high in the mountains, and that usually keeps the rif-raf out. :)
