I own a Lance 650 and use it for equestrian events and tow my horse trailer behind it. This is my first RV I've ever owned and did not grow up RVing. I am a single woman in my 20's so everything has been a learning experience. My only issue I've been dealing with is the battery. The base camps I camp at never have electric. I've had the battery replaced under warranty 3x already in the last year and possibly a 4th considering fully charged my camper after at trip and even with solar panels on it is completely dead again. If you have a generator or plug into electric there'd be no problems. I've been told getting a generator is a dumb idea but my battery is the only issue I've been having.
I've camped with up to two people in my Lance and have never converted my dinette into a bed for a 3rd person. My best friend and I recently went on a horse camping trip where we got rained out on so we comfortably were able to hang at the dinette all day. I will say there is a lot of transferring of things. For example; during the day we put all of our stuff on the bed and at night we move all of our stuff to the dinette. When I'm cooking I'm constantly moving from the kitchen to the dinette.
A lot of people though are really surprised at the amount on room in it and are surprised to see a bathroom and shower. In a perfect world I'd love to have the 855S but I don't see the point in that any time soon considering it's just me most of the time.
Here is a link to a blog post I did about my most recent trip. There are several pics inside the camper and one from the outside.
