It seems to me the solution is simple. Don't purchase lead acid batteries for this camper and Lance should not let dealers install them. Placard the camper for AGM or Lithium batteries. Lithium would probably require a different converter.
Most of the time the manufacturer's position to concerns as you expressed is that we have sold 5000 of that camper model with no issues to date. At the time something becomes an issue, we will look into it.
The President of a prominent west coast RV manufacturer was touting their products at an RV show. Once alone with him I shared a few very simple yet effective things I found that could be better and his very cool response was they always like to hear back from customers and he walked away. Yup!
