DID you send it with proof of receipt?
They will claim non receipt if you did not.
If you did then I submit not enough time has passed for the lawyers and engineers to do a cost benefits analysis too determine if it is cheaper to issue a recall and fix all the units with this problem or to ignore the problem and settle any possible lawsuit.

MY suggestion to you is to contact the federal government
