We have an 855S and I was not satisfied with the battery compartment arrangement.
I have posted my fix elsewhere but will repeat the pictures here. The dealer had routed the battery cables through the lid and used rubber grommets to
sort-of seal them.
My fix:
Underside of the battery box top
The finished revision (those black dots are nylon plugs epoxied into the holes cut by the dealer)
I feel satisfied that the battery boxes are now sealed properly.
By the way- for the winter, it isn't hard at all to pull the batteries, slide them on the floor and carry them out the door.
