In the US the Mfr does not supply the batteries. Sometimes the dealer does. Usually it is the decision of the Purchaser as to what type of battery to install.
I suppose Lance could put a sticker saying "AGM" batteries only.
If it were me...I would be using AGM's in this situation for sure (I prefer AGM batteries anyway)...but this kind of forces your hand...
But really, they should redesign the battery area for better venting and easier access.
