Lance 855/855S Battery Compartment Safety Issues

I guess the salesman was right when he said the vent near the ladder was to the battery box all the way in the front of the camper. I didn't believe him cause I could not believe they would design it that way...
The 855S I looked at had two vents in the wall of the battery box and another vent near the bottom of the ladder at opposite end of the camper.
