I read something about how difficult it was to access his batteries on a newer 1050S about a month ago. This to took care of me buying a new Lance 1050S! it was on my list.
My compliments to the OP, well written, & he did his homework! After viewing the pics of this sloppy installation, I too did not like how the batteries were being vented.
About 20 yrs ago a young welder was killed when working on a new aluminum boat nearby, the manufacturer had not properly vented the battery boxes overboard & it blew up! The poor young man lost his life over exactly the same potential thing here.
No way would I spend the kind of money they want for these things & have to bust my ^$@ to get the batteries out, not to mention acid leaks or whatever! unbelievable, hopefully Lance steps up & fixes all these correctly.
