Are you cutting all these boards with a hand saw? That is impressive.
Glue bonds greater under pressure, if the surface is able to absorb the resins. Be sure to "rough" the 4S surfaces with some sandpaper before gluing together. If the wood has a shiny/smooth surface it generally will have been sanded on all 4 sides (4S). Doing this will increase the strength.
On the long 1X3 on the left in the above photo you have a knot, try to avoid placing knots in locations where there is a joint. Over time, in thinner boards, the moisture and drying process is going to dry out the surrounding material, making the joint susceptible to failure due to separation. If you look at old boards, you will see where this has happened, as the grains of the wood pulls away from the denser wood grains. That is why furniture manufacturers exclude wood with knots in them. You are going to a lot of work and may not be aware of Wood Science and structure and for a product that is going to "RACK" frequently it would be better to build this failure points out of your framework. Just like taking two sheets of plywood, glue them together, using a film of glue with a tile trowel and then an appropriate screw pattern (don't use dry wall screws, as they have very poor shear strength) The result will be a stronger sheet of panel surface, than one thick sheet of plywood. Plywood, when used properly, can be an amazing product. A cheap Circular saw and a couple of homemade scrap wood jigs, can make the work go so much easier, too.

edit; Use caution when using bolts, instead of screws, in some applications as you are taking a lot of “Guts” of the wood out where a screw goes through a board and Bonds the grains to the screw. The rule of thumb is the wood surrounding the hole should be greater than 2 times the size of the hole on all sides. Also refrain from installing fasteners in the outside 20% area/edge of the flat of the board, as this is where your board’s strength is located. This is known as the strap of the board, when used in a vertical (on edge) application.
